MADE: In America is committed to accomplishing this goal by building coalitions of business leaders, public policy makers, scholars, and students to analyze the complex global socioeconomic forces affecting American industry and to define and articulate a new and compelling case for American enterprise.
Since its inception in 2008, MADE: In America has recognized, promoted, and provided assistance to American businesses committed to production in the United States. Key to this effort has been providing companies access to resources and expertise outside those traditionally available within their industries. Through the In-Service to American Business initiative, MADE: In America works directly with companies to provide a menu of custom designed services and projects that better connect businesses with consumers. Specialized consulting services in finance, marketing, management, and production are also provided through a network of professional affiliates.
A 501(C)(3) educational non-profit based in Washington, D.C., MADE: In America is further dedicated to increasing public awareness and educating Americans about the importance of a strong domestic manufacturing base. To do so, MADE: In America creates a wide array of innovative special programs and initiatives designed to promote American industry and craft producers domestically and expand opportunities overseas.
MADE: in America conducts educational initiatives and consumer outreach programs. These range from providing consulting opportunities for graduate business school teams; to product showcases such as the All American House and The American Treasures Culinary Experiences; to student design competitions and seminars.
The United States has a long and proud tradition of providing goods and services to nations around the globe. The challenge of the 21st Century is ensuring that America continues to be a nation that exports not only services but also products.
