All American House Gallery
MADE: In America has partnered with the National Trust for Historic Preservation to create the All American House at Historic Woodlawn. Commissioned by President George Washington and designed by Architect of the Capitol, William Thornton, Woodlawn is the crown jewel of the National Trust portfolio.
Woodlawn, the first property acquired by the Trust in 1952, launched the Trust on its path to becoming the Nation’s preeminent organization dedicated to the preservation of America’s significant historic house properties. With the All American House, Woodlawn will yet again be the site launching a new era in the historic preservation field.
The All American House will be created by teams of young designers from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, The George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art + Design. It will showcase the very best in American design using products from a select group of award wining American home furnishings companies.
The All American House will premiere on April 20, 2013 and remain open to the public until June 16, 2013.
